ISUBA, is-su-ba, n., A Handsome Horse (From the dictionary of the
Choctaw Language). Isuba Valley's name is inspired by Cortney's
Grandmother (Helen Rakestraw) who is full blood Native American and
taught Cortney to speak Choctaw.
"The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the
victory belongs to the Lord" Proverbs 21:31
NLT 2007
"Do you give the horse it's strength or clothe it's neck with a flowing
mane? Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with it's proud
snorting? It paws fiercely, rejoicing in it's strength, and charges into
the fray. It laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; it does not shy away
from the sword. The quiver rattles against it's side, along with the
flashing spear and lance. In frenzied excitement it eats up the ground;
it cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds. At the blast of the
trumpet it snorts 'Aha!"
Job 36:19-25
LIKE US ON
We have
the largest indoor arena in the area. 50,000 square feet
fully insulated and enclosed and is lighted, heated, and
cooled (including three "Big Ass Fans"). If it's 115°
outside it feels like 80° In our arena. We are available for
not only horse shows, but also clinics. We'll have 8 private
runs that rent out for $25 a day and 4 to 8 stalls which
rent for $35 a day. Each organization which rents our
facility gets a large personalized banner that will be
displayed during their show with their club's name on it. We
do all the set up and break down as well as muck the stalls.
We will even have a full course of Hunter and Jumper jumps
so club's don't have to haul theirs to and from.
The arena is 115' X 200' and has sifted topsoil and sand for
premium footing. Arena will be tended to at renters request
and drug as often as preferred.
The arena rents for the
following:
$500 to $1000 a day...depending on the event.
$250 for half a day (up to 4 hours)
There is plenty of room for trailers and general parking
(which is free). You can even stay the night. We have 8
RV/camper trailer hook ups, which rent for $25 a night.
132+/-acres of pastures, woods, creeks, ponds, hills, plateaus, ravines,
and gorgious views.
We have miles of cut and groomed trails and 132 acres of
prime riding. Trail riding is part of the package if the
arena is rented for a day or half a day as long as the
riding takes place during those time periods. Trail riding
is normally $20 a trailer (however many horses fit in a
trailer is up to you).
The arena can also be rented out
by the hour. It is $20 minimum per hour but that covers up
to two riders. Each
additional rider is only $10. Hourly rental is available up
to three hours after that it's considered half a day. We
have a nice private "Parlor" with tables and refrigerator as
well as a large tack room. There is a balcony above the tack
room where all the boarders tack trunks will be. There is an
indoor wash bay with hot and cold water as well as a matted
hitching area for safe and easy tacking. There is also a
large indoor restroom complete with shower and washer and
dryer. There is enough space outside the arena that no horse
has to wait literally outside. You can all wait within the
comforts of the indoor facility and watch the show via horseback. No standing in the rain or
trying to get your horse's eyes adjusted to shade after the
sun. Also, a three step mounting block is placed for easy
ups.
We have tables and chairs for the registration area as well
as for awards. We also have platform bleachers which offer
stadium seating for 50 people. No one has a better view than
the judge though, who has their private Platform with built
in desk where at least five people can sit if needed. The
sound system is like none other with outdoor speakers to let
all those preparing their horses at the trailers to know
exactly what's going on. As well as a PA, music is able to
be played on iPods etc. One more service to point out is the
"mounted church service" we intend on organizing for
non-denominational worship on Sunday mornings. This movement
has really taken off and there are some great mounted
churches in Grove as well as Tulsa etc.
Isuba Valley Horse Park has many different monthly boarding
options as well, something for all budgets. From stalls to
private runs to large fenced in pastures with new horse
shelters. Of course, each boarder gets all inclusive use of
trail riding, the indoor arena, the outdoor arena, the
parlor, and the tack room.
